I’m sure many of us enjoy playing air hockey, a fun yet simple competition of who can get past the other first. It’s definitely something which I’d love to play more often, as full-sized air hockey tables aren’t exactly the cheapest items to buy. You don’t have to worry if you have an Android or iOS device, however, because you can have all of the fun of air hockey right on it!

Glow Hockey 2 is the perfect replica of air hockey without having to go out and buying a full air hockey table. It offers a visually pleasing experience with lots of fun that can kill a lot of time. Plus, with this game, it’ll actually be hard to “beat the whole game”, so you can compete with other friends to see who can get the farthest.

Getting Started

When you first launch Glow Hockey 2, you’ll be prompted whether you’d like to play in one-player mode or two-player mode. After choosing how you’d like to play, you’ll either go straight into the game if you selected two-player mode, or you can choose one of four difficulty levels in one-player mode. The difference between each difficulty is quite large, so you won’t get bored if you completely master one difficulty and move on to the next one.

The hardest difficulty available, Insane, is exactly what it’s called. While I can win fairly easily in the Hard difficulty setting, I get absolutely demolished when playing on Insane. If I remember correctly, I’ve only won against the Insane difficulty once, and had a couple of close 6-7 losses.

How To Play

The name of the game is to try to beat your opponent by getting the glowing puck into your opponent’s goal. Each time this occurs, you score a point, and the game is over whenever either player reaches 7 goals first. In order to get the puck into the goal, you’ll need to move your paddle around and hit the puck so that it moves in the direction you want it to. You can only move your paddle within your half of the playing field.

The gameplay is quite interesting, as the game touts some very interesting colors and effects, including particle effects. The included sounds are also very appropriate to the feel of the game.

Settings

There are a couple of things which you can configure in the settings, which you can reach from the game’s main screen where the mode buttons are as well. These include the look of the playing field, as well as the colors of the puck and the paddles. You can even choose for the particle effects, sounds, and vibrations to be enabled or disabled.
